This is a tough one, with ma petite the ground rules are that is she is to have, she has to add us and we need full access...but she is 11. He has already done this without your knowledge, hmmmm. Honestly? Talk to him, ask him if you can follow him. One of my friends has a 15 year old boy and they are fb friends, but the ground rules include her not commenting or "liking" his stuff, she just has to be allowed access. And since she's never broken her word, he has no issue with her seeing what he does online. Good luck!
Our eldest (12) has a Twitter account, but we have been boring parents with Facebook, and told her "not until you are 13, as stated in the terms". I think we have been lucky really; because the house is full of computers, she isn't that interested in spending time in front of them.
